In 2024, more good news came for the Tea industry in Pu'an County: by 2023, the county had achieved a dry tea production of approximately 9,500 tons, with a value of 1.295 billion yuan, a comprehensive output value of 1.759 billion yuan, benefiting and supporting 18,000 households involving more than 70,000 people, increasing household income by over 17,000 yuan on average.
Currently, Pu'an County has a total tea garden area of 183,000 mu, with 131,000 mu available for picking. Behind these numbers lies the county's long-term utilization of its climate advantage as the “First Harvest of Guizhou Green Tea,” capitalizing on this to expand the Brand of “Pu'an Red.” Through continuous efforts in both domestic promotion and external publicity, the county has steadily built up momentum in its journey to develop the tea industry, achieving revitalization of rural industries throughout the county.
