The Longtang Town is one of the primary Tea-producing towns in Shiqian County. Currently, two large tea processing plants in the area are meeting market demands by operating at full capacity to process bulk teas, ensuring that the tea products are of high quality and quantity when they hit the market, injecting strong momentum into the local tea industry.
In the Guizhou Xianghua Ecological Tea Factory located in Dashan Village, Longtang Town, the air is filled with the aroma of tea. Modern processing equipment is running at high speed, while workers skillfully operate the machines on the production line. Fresh tea leaves go through multiple processes to become high-quality finished tea, awaiting packaging for sale. In the tea gardens, tea farmers are busy picking fresh tea leaves, presenting a bustling scene.
Rao Guangfei, the factory manager of Guizhou Xianghua Ecological Tea Co., Ltd., said, “The overall performance of our bulk tea this year has been quite good. We have already produced over 100,000 pounds of dried tea. The harvest season is not yet over, and we expect to reach 150,000 pounds after the harvest ends. Therefore, I remain confident in the development of bulk tea. Moving forward, we plan to expand production, benefit the people, and promote the harvesting of summer and autumn teas.”
Similarly, the Guizhou Tacha Group's bulk tea processing plant in Datun Village, Longtang Town, has also been operating at full capacity during this period, busily processing bulk tea to supply the market. Due to its exquisite processing techniques and strict quality control, the factory has gained an excellent reputation in the market and seen a significant increase in orders.
Xiong Jinfu, the person in charge of the bulk tea processing plant of Guizhou Tacha Industrial Development Group Co., Ltd., said, “The color and taste of our bulk tea this year are quite good. Its most significant feature is its affordable price, making it accessible to the general public. The production volume is substantial, enabling us to boost the income of nearby tea farmers. This year, we have signed an order for one thousand tons with the Longtai Group.”
The thriving development of these two processing plants has not only expanded the scale of local tea cultivation but also provided more employment opportunities for villagers in the surrounding areas, opening up a new path for increasing farmers' incomes and enriching villages.
Xiao Guozhen, a tea farmer from the Shenshanmiao Village, Longtang Town, said, “I can earn over a hundred yuan a day picking summer and Autumn Tea. I also have a few acres of land planted with tea. There's no worry about selling the tea I pick; I just sell it to the company.”
