This price maintains for about four or five days before gradually decreasing. By the time of Qingming (Tomb Sweeping Day), the price may fall to as low as 800 yuan per pound. Some extremely high-quality West Lake Longjing can sell for 5,000 to 8,000 yuan per pound. If there is any speculation, the price might even reach 10,000 yuan per pound.

Factors Determining the Price of Green Tea
1. Tea Grade
Green tea is divided into different grades, usually including Special Grade, First Grade, Second Grade, and Third Grade. The higher the grade, the higher the price. Special Grade green tea is often packaged in gift boxes and thus is much more expensive.
2. Season
The best quality tea is picked in spring each year. The optimal time for picking is before the Qingming Festival, and good teas are often harvested before this date. Pre-Qingming tea has a lower yield but higher nutritional value, which makes it much more expensive. Therefore, the season is a major factor affecting the price of green tea.
3. Brand and Packaging
Different brands and packaging can significantly affect the price. Bulk tea, which is bagged, is generally cheaper, while gift box packaging, which uses elegant gift boxes, is much more expensive. For personal consumption, bulk tea is commonly purchased, whereas gift box packaging is more suitable for gifts.
