Basic Introduction to Suizhou Bud Tea
Suizhou Bud Tea is produced in an area located at the midpoint of the mid-latitude monsoon circulation region, at the confluence of the Yangtze River and Huai River basins. It is situated between 31°19'N and 32°26'N. Scientific research has proven that the region around 30°N ± 2° offers suitable temperatures. The tea produced here can balance both appearance and quality, with a phenol-ammonia ratio of around 10. This makes it an ideal growing area for high-quality green tea. Suizhou Bud Tea combines color, aroma, flavor, and shape, making it a signature product of the tea industry in Suizhou.

History and Folklore
Suizhou is a city rich in history. According to historical records and the consensus of domestic and international experts and scholars, the legendary ancestor of the Chinese people, Emperor Yan (Shennong), was born in Lishan (Lishui Town) in Suizhou. The discovery and utilization of tea can be attributed to Emperor Yan. As recorded in the historical text “The Herbal Classic of Shennong,” “Shennong tasted a hundred herbs and encountered seventy-two poisons in one day, which he cured with tea.” The “Tea Classic” written by Lu Yu, the tea sage of the Tang Dynasty, also states: “Tea as a beverage originated with Shennong.” Thus, Suizhou is not only the birthplace of human civilization but also the birthplace of tea. After the founding of New China, Suizhou became one of the major tea-producing areas in our province. It is recognized by tea experts and agricultural authorities in our province as part of the Dahongshan Tea Region. Among them, Yinfeng Mountain Tea Estate in Suizhou City has over 13,000 acres of tea gardens, more than 200 sets of various processing equipment, and an annual processing capacity of 3,000 tons of dried tea. Within the tea industry in Suizhou and even our province, this estate is exceptional and possesses unique advantages for developing tea tourism.
